February 12, 2006 I arrived back home on Friday the 3rd and there was much to do - orders to fill, email and phone calls to answer, Yahoo Groups to monitor - to name just a few. The huge project of the moment is to finish the edit of the new PhotoShop CD, Virtual Stamping 102, so it can be released. One of the projects from that CD is shown at the left, and I am very excited about the publication. Anyone, with or without drawing, painting, or PhotoShop skills will be able to create beautiful artwork like this from scratch. With all that going on, I still managed, over that weekend, to finish the first four episodes of my new Art Blog. - about my trip to the CHA Trade Show in Las Vegas. I was excited - this is just the kind of spontaneous publishing that I love most. You can read those episodes in sequence by clicking the Art Blog Archives Button above. I opened my website to put the Blog somewhere - and promptly realized there was no logical place to put it. Here we go again. |

| This painting, which resembles a series of paintings done in the 1960s by the famous Surrealist, René Magritte, was created from scratch in PhotoShop Elements. It is one of the projects from Virtual Stamping 102 - soon to be released. | |||||||||
| The Domino Theory . . . As happens too often in my life, I was reminded of the domino theory - that all things are leaning on some other thing. I would not be able to post my new Art Blog until I made a space for it - on a new Home Page. Cre8it.com was out of windows. So, this past week has been an adventure. I had to learn some things about Java Applets (which are not edible) and come up with an architecture for the home page, which could likely handle changes for awhile - changes that always seem to come. The site is very big and a lot of the treasure is hard to find at this point. Eventually, through a Project Gallery, I hope to establish easy links to all the projects on the website. You would not be here unless you have passed through the new Home Page. I hope you liked it. Doesn’t it look like those landscapes are printed on Sheer Heaven? For now, I will let you get on to reading the Blog episodes from CHA. They are far from over - there was way too much to fit. So, CHA discoveries will be a part of the Art Blog episodes for awhile. Bookmark the home page, so you won’t miss a beat. I am working on some other ideas as well for notifying you of new episodes, which we’ll be talking about. |
