| Hearts are EVERYWHERE!
This is their day, after all. I have always been attracted to hearts and never joined the crowd that considers them trite, cute or over-used. After all, they are the symbol of Love, and Love is the most powerful energy in the Universe. How can that be trite? You can never get too much! I found these hearts in my CHA bag of treasures, and remembered that I wanted to tell you about them. |

Melting Opals . . . We made a point of visiting the After Midnight booth to see our friend Linda and to meet the Krafty Ladies from Australia - whose product line includes Krafty Lady Molds and Opals embossing powders. After Midnight has been chosen to be the distributor for the United States. We had never seen the Opals embossing powders in person, and we were curious. Everyone in the booth was bedecked in beautiful jewelry - shimmering pendants and donuts that seem to be made of stone - but they were all actually made of Opals. There was quite the demonstration going on - complete with Aussie accents, so we hung around to watch. |

| These stone donuts (lower right corner of the photo) aren’t stone at all - they’re made of Opals embossing powders. | |||||||||||||||
| When the Opals powders are melted together in a melting pot, they marble into wonderful combinations of irridescent color. They can be poured into the Krafty Lady Molds, or used with nested cookie cutters to create the donuts and hearts shown.
One cookie cutter is set into a pool of melted Opals, Another smaller cutter of the same shape is set inside of it. This all happens on a non-stick craft sheet. When the melted powder has set, the cutters are removed and you have a solid and a frame version of the shape. We haven’t tried it yet, but it looked really easy so it is definitely on the agenda. You can get the powders online at Linda’s website - where you will also enjoy a lot of the wonderful artwork of Zeborah Loray. |

| Hearts are everywhere . . .
My sister (who is visiting me right now) says that once you get really tuned into love and how much of it there is in the world, you start seeing hearts everywhere - you find heart shaped rocks, driftwood, patterns in woodgrain - and on and on. Start watching for hearts in your environment - even after Valentine’s day is over and all those heart covered cards are tucked away. |
