Stick Dolls are simple and fun to make, but they can be developed to any level of complexity. The basic parts are a little hard to find in some places, and since we have plenty here, we’ve decided to offer these kits. There is a kit specifically for making our Star Shaman Wishing Doll, and a more generic kit that you can take in any direction you please.

The Stick Doll Kit below gives you a blank canvas to make two dolls - any kind you can imagine.

These dolls can hang on the wall when finished, and measure approx. 14" in height.

A matched pair of 14" Sticks
2 Natural Moonrock “Doll Bodies”
Polymer Clay for head (Copper)
Craft Stick for neck
Hanger
Star Shaman Poem on Embossed Card with Star-Punched Hole
Glass Star Charm for Necklace
2" Copper Wire, 22 gauge
6" Copper Wire, 16 gauge

You will need to supply the feathers for hair and the hot glue. The legalities of selling feathers are not something we want to get involved with, but we suggest you purchase them packaged.

If you wish to use colored Moonrock Paper for the body instead of coloring the Natural, we have Hunter Green and Purple available below - already sponged with gold acrylic paint. Remember that the colored Moorrock is prone to fading. An extra “body” piece is included just in case you need it.

These are the “blank canvas” basic components for making two stick dolls of whatever type you want to create. Add hair, jewelry, clothing and other embellishment. The Star Shaman is only one example of the type of doll that can be made from this basic design.
