| Good Idea to Print this Page for Reference. | ||||||
| Step 1: Choose your Virtual Rubber Stamps by Clicking the Buy for Download button. This will take you to the proper part of the Shopping Cart for downloadable versions of the images. Add your chosen images to your Cart. You may also add other things to your order - like papers and other real world items which will be shipped. Step 2: The Downloadable items (Butterfly One and Butterfly Two) have a “Click Here” link and an Order Code Number. PLEASE NOTE: The email confirmation of your order will also contain this information - with the actual URL address for each Stamp you purchased. The link is live for 30 days, so it is good to print out that reference and save it in case you need a replacement copy of the image for some reason. The “Click Here” link will take you to the Download Page which will open in a separate window. But before you go there, copy that Order Code Number (Red Arrow) - either by writing it down or by using your computer’s Copy function. |

| Step 4: Enter the Order Code in the appropriate box (Blue Arrow). If you want the image sent to you by email, check the Send Downloadable Items As Mail (Red Arrow). Then click the Login & Download button. The image will instantly be mailed to the email address you filled in on your order. (Please note that this does not work for every PC user due to varying system configurations and email blockers. If it doesn’t work for you, go to Step 5). If it does work for you, when you receive the email, download the attached image to your hard drive. It will be a JPEG format file. Although our Virtual Stamps start out as high resolution TIFF files (300 dpi), their journey across the web causes them to be converted to 72 dpi JPEG. They are too big and too low in resolution to be useful (just like photos from your digital camera). You must change them back on your end. To do that: RESIZING THE IMAGE: Your Virtual Rubber Stamp image is now the right size and the right resolution, Use the Save As command (under the File menu) to save it as a TIFF file. Store all your Virtual Rubber Stamps in a folder where you will be able to find them. They take no studio space at all!!! IF, the email option does not work or you do not like to deal with email attachments for some reason, go to Step 5 instead. Step 5: The image you purchased will appear on your screen. It will appear very large, but we will adjust that later. Right-Click on the image, and you will probably be given a long list of choices about what to do with this image. Again, PCs seem to differ. You may only be given the choice to Open or Save the image. Here is one window you might see: |

We wish we could tell you what to do at this point, but we’re Mac people and we don’t understand what happens over there - but you do - so do whatever you usually do to get an image saved to your hard drive. Once the Virtual Stamp is in your computer, it will be a large 72ppi jpg file - much like you get from your digital camera. Open it in PhotoShop or Elements or some similar program and RESIZE it according to the directions given above. You want to store it as a 300dpi TIFF file. You can then switch back to your Browser Window to access and download the next image you purchased. Close this Window to get back to the Virtual Stamps home page. |
