Tool of the Month
In this section, we will present an overview of the Tools in PhotoShop and Elements - their primary uses and the options that make them more useful and interesting.
Learn to “age” any photograph without “distressing” it by using Mode changes and overlays to give it a vintage, sepia look.
Vignettes can be simple or complex, but they are always attractive with their soft, dreamy appearance and feeling of ageless elegance. Cards and envelopes with softly colored edges are expensive to buy and tricky to make in the studio, but with digital help, and the Airbrush Tool, they are a snap.
We create templates for both 5x7 andn 4x5 cards, using our Airbrushed Edges as a building block. Layering airbrushed art offers a whole new way to frame and set off any art, design, photo, or stamp image. Digital images have many advantages over rubber stamps because they can be resized at will and combined easily. A sample of Cre8it’s new Digital Texture Collection is a gift with this issue.
We resize, recolor, and Layer our gift stamp and combine it with layered airbrush art to create the illustration shown on the cover of this issue.
NOTE: This is not a print magazine - though you may easily print it. It is a PDF document which can be read and printed with free Adobe Reader software.
