| How simple can something be? Pretty Simple!
What do you need? Some double-stick tape and some pieces of 1/8" acrylic cut to appropriate sizes and sanded smooth on the edges. You can get the tape anywhere, and you can get the acrylic here.
What do you do? Put a couple pieces of the tape on the acrylic and stick your stamp to it.
Why is this so great? The image stamps perfectly and you can see exactly where you are placing it because you are not looking through 3/4" of plastic - or trying to maneuver an 80 pound acrylic block (feels like 80 pounds anyway).
The tape lasts through several stampings and cleanings - even if it gets wet. When it finally gets too disgusting, you just change the tape.
The acrylic is lightweight and takes up very little space. And your stamps don’t have anything sticky on them, so they can travel easily too - in an envelope or small box. Imagine taking 100 stamps and your mounting system on vacation with you in a notecard box or an envelope! What a great idea for journalers!
Stamp storage is a cinch - whether you are an organized personality or wild and frenzied. Stamps can be thrown loose in a drawer or organized in craft boxes with compartments.
So here are some very useful sizes of cut and sanded acrylic:
