You may skip the Editor’s Letter if you are one of those who “doesn’t read Editor’s Letters”. However, you cannot skip this page in any issue without missing something. It will be the only place to learn about important changes in stuff that matters to your experience of this magazine. If this is your first timing reading an issue of Now What? Zine, click here: How To Read This Online Magazine. It will open in its own window. Just close that window to return to this page. All links to anything that is outside this issue function that way.

Our New Publication Schedule:
Every issue of Now What? has started out as a fairly quick and simple set of ideas, and then taken on a *wild* life of its own. We like the results - a more high end, complicated publication that will be of value for a long time to come. Problem is, producing that complex publication doesn’t always fit a 30 day schedule. We found ourselves actually saying we *have* to finish that blankety-blank magazine. That is not how we want to feel about it.

So our Volumes will be numbered instead of being identified by month. This is Volume 4 and everyone will be able to tell that they have not missed an issue if they cannot find consecutive months (as was the case this fall).

We will still be aiming to publish monthly and do the best we can. If you have not done so, it is a really good idea to Subscribe so you will be notified by email of each new issue. Just close the Subscribe window to return here. If you hit the Return button on the Subscribe page, it will return you to our website, not to your proper page in the magazine (right here).

Our Subscription List
We have moved our subscription email list away from AOL and to our own website. If you were not notified of this issue by email and you have subscribed, we have gotten a bounce notice or some other mail demon and your mail could not go through. You can re-subscribe via the link above and that will work next time.

Type Conventions
We found out the hard way that HTML (the web language) does not do so well with italics. We need a way to emphasize certain words, so we will go with the internet convention of using the * to emphasize words. We have also heard from a couple of English teachers about the fact that we put periods and other punctuation outside quotation marks. You’re not supposed to. We don’t care. Type spacing on the web is such a nightmare anyway, that the awkward look of proper placement is intensified and not acceptable around here. We are visual people, after all.

The Magazine Index
We thought this was obvious, but it obviously was not. There *is* an Index so you can go back to certain articles or read the magazine by “click-and-shoot” if you must. The Index is at the back of the magazine, but can be reached by the Foot Steps button at the bottom of each page. You can toggle back and forth between the articles and the Index that way.

Back Issues
There are links to back issues on the Index page at the back, and also on our Cre8it Home Page where you found the cover of this issue. This will all become a mute point shortly because we are constructing a “Reading Room” which will house all the issues, cross-references, and everything else concerning Now What?.

That’s it for this time.
