Making larger images from the same Design Time stamp set: We wanted to do some family portrait tiles that would make a big impact as wall art. The size of the figures and dogs would need to be more than twice as large as the stamp. Because Cre8it has the Angel 100 Policy, it is okay to scan and resize the images, so we did. (of course, since the designs are our own, we were ok anyway). We printed the new sizes on Sheer Heaven and cut them out with scissors - creating waterproof stencils - which we used to put the black images on the tiles with black Patio Paint, but you could use the Brilliance ink you used for the smaller tiles. We then decided to do the embellishing a little differently - just to see how it would look. |

| Instructions: We’ll just talk about what we did differently this time. We used our Sheer Heaven stencils and make-up sponges to pat the paint onto the tiles in a fairly even coat. Patio Paint is a very durable acrylic paint and doesn’t need sealing. To add dimension, we used dimensional fabric paint in gold, copper, and silver - for jewelry, faces and tail details. Then, instead of stamping and embossing directly on the tile, we embossed our designs on black core matboard (black all the way through so there are no white edges to deal with). We cut the pieces out and mounted them in place on the tile with jewelry cement. The suns and body designs on the dogs are done this way, as well as the dress and small rectangle designs on the figure. This creates an interesting look and another level in the art. |

| These tiles can be hung - just attach a metal hanger to the back with E6000 adhesive - the only adhesive we feel safe using on ceramics. | ||||||||
