Thinking of You
This card is done using the same technique, with the addition of Lyra Aquacolors (a wax water-soluble crayon) on the pear after it was printed.

Apply Alabaster, Bisque and a very small amount of Warm Red Chalk inks to the palette stamp (sometimes I add the red simply by using dirty ink pads). Stamp off using Hot Potatoes geometric design stamp. Stamp Diffusion circles in Warm Red repeatedly on the palette stamp. Stamp The Moon Rose line stamp on the palette stamp inked in Tangerine. Set aside.

Apply Yellow Ochre ink to Stamp in the Hand pear stamp. Add Olive Pastel to the leaves and Warm Violet on the edge of the pear. Stipple lightly to blend the colors. Stamp on the palette stamp and print the palette stamp on matte, cream cover stock.

Paint washes of yellow and purple Aquacolors (many mediums will work; colored pencil, watercolor, etc.) over the pear for more color and depth. Stamp Thinking of You (Savvy Stamps) in Memories Art Print Brown.

Reflect
You can get some very interesting results using a smaller palette stamp in a repeat pattern - changing the ink colors for each impression.

Here, I used Stampers Anonymous P1-669 for the palette. I inked it differently four times, printed it on the card stock, and overstamped with black Brilliance ink. See the two pictures below. (I used The Uptown Company “Pieta” stamp for this project).

Reflect stamp is from American Art Stamps.

Pop-Out Book
Here is a pop-out book using the chalk inks. The pop out sections were masked off and printed with a shadow stamp that had several chalk colors tapped on it.

This is a full sheet of glossy card stock folded in fourths, with three pop-out sections and book covers on the two ends.

If you are intrigued by the idea of offset stamping, experiment using different inks, paints, and “palette” stamp surfaces. We will be experimenting too, and we’ll let you know what we discover.
