Making a Customized Album Journal, Con’t. |

Step Four:
Take each page one at a time and push it in as far as it will go under one of the cover flaps Hold the flap down and score along the edge of it.
Remove the sheet, turn it over and insert the same end under the flap. Score this side also.
This step may not be necessary if you are using lightweight papers, but for heavier papers, this insures that the pages will lie flat enough to work on.

Step Five:
Use the spacer that came in the album as a template.
Place it evenly within the scored area of the page and trace where the holes need to go.
Do this on all twelve pages.

Step Six:
Use a hole punch to make the holes where you traced from the template.
You may be able to punch two pages at once while holding them evenly together.

Step Seven:
Replace your stack of pages on the post screws with the spacers in front and back.
Screw the posts snugly against them.

|
Step Eight:
Go through the finished journal and fold each page flat along the score line to flatten it. Then go through backwards and do it again.
After that, your pages should open nicely for working on them.
