Windowed Writing Blocks
Remember the space in the block on the Coffee Thoughts page that left room for the illustration?

This was an easy masking job done with Post-It Notes.

We stamped the small box onto a Post-It Note and stuck the note onto the stamp block.

Remember that your orientation is reversed when you are looking at the stamp this way. Make sure to put the note on the opposite side from where you actually want the empty space.

Obviously, you could make a blank area in the middle of the line block the same way.

Ink the line block stamp up to and over the edges of the Post-It Note.

When the block is evenly inked, take off the Post-It and stamp your line block on the journal page.

Then stamp the small box frame in the space you have provided for it, and you are all set to draw and write.

Any Size Blocks
Post-Its are a great tool for making any size writing blocks you desire.

Just use as many of them as you need to block off the desired size area before inking.

Plain paper and removable poster tape or temporary adhesive can be used instead of Post-It Notes.

Best of all may be the 6-Line Cover-up and Labelling tape from 3M which is wonderful masking material in tape form.
