Was there ever a challenge so daunting as the one to travel lite while bringing every art supply you own along with you?

If you travel in a mobile home, no problem, and even if you drive a large vehicle, you can probably get half the studio in there. But what if you’re flying somewhere, or you want to sketch on location, or illustrate your journal? Or even just go out and paint some flowers in your garden without getting out a wagonload of stuff ?

We’ve got the answer, and you make it yourself!

This pretty little envelope, which is only 1/16" thick, contains 75 different colors of artist grade, water soluble paint, and it tucks neatly into your sketchbook or journal!

What if you could bring an unlimited number of watercolors with you in an envelope that will tuck neatly into your sketchbook or journal? What if the only other thing you need is a brush and some water. You could paint *anywhere*, right? Right!

Why Sheer Heaven?

The “right” side of Sheer Heaven is etched. Under a microscope, it would look like carpet. This is what gives it the “tooth” to hold every kind of art media - and lots of it.

But the difference between Sheer Heaven and, say, watercolor paper, which also has tooth, is that the tooth on Sheer Heaven does not get smooshed when you apply paint, pencil, etc. It remains absorbant and reusable. So these palettes are actually refillable!

The other miraculous thing about Sheer Heaven is that it does not react to moisture: it does not warp or tear or shred or disintegrate - no matter how wet you get it, or how much you scrub at it with a brush.

It is the combination of these two factors that allows Sheer Heaven to be the perfect portable palette. On the following pages, you will see how to make the palettes in any configuration you might desire, how to use them, and how to make a fun Sheer Heaven Envelope to hold them all. And keep in mind - this is a perfect gift for your artist friends too.
