You have beautiful gallery style gifts and art pieces right at your fingertips as long as you have some favorite digital photos, a few materials, and Photoshop or Elements. It's just a matter of knowing how to transition them into real life objects we can wrap and give away or sell for porfit at an art show.
Your Instructor . . . Since I have added another art gallery to my world, I have come up with some wonderful ways to present and sell my photographic images, and I want to share five of them with you. Meet your Instructor. Best of all, for this workshop, I have chosen projects that are fast and uncomplicated, and which can be made with a minimum of materials. The workshop will be presented as five PDF Lessons which you download and print whever you want. A Supply List is given below and also supplied with your Workshop Guide.
How this workshop is structured . . . WHENEVER WORKSHOPS, are self-paced workshops you can take WHENEVER you want. This is a PDF that introduces the workshop and provides you with live Links to download the workshop Lessons, or to watch and/or download the video Lessons if that is the format. 		Supplies . . . Image Editing Software. Any recent version of PhotoShop (version 7 or later), or PhotoShop Elements (version 2.0 or later). A Stash of Digital Photos These projects may be used with any photos, but you will want to gather and choose some favorites. Two photos that are very similar in subject, color, and composition. These will be used for a two sided puzzle and the more alike the two photos are, the more challenging your puzzle will be. Instructor will provide two photos to work with if you have none of your own.Adobe Reader software Double-sided Matte Photo Paper . . . This paper prints beautiful photos on both sides. It is manufactured by Epson and several others but my personal favorite is Staples brand - sold in their stores and on their website (Item# 564121) Inkjet Canvas (3 Sheets) Canvas especially made for inkjet printing. Inkjet Canvas is available from several sources including my own Cre8it website. My Waterproof Inkjet Canvas is thick and luxurious and may require special handling in some printers (see this link). If you own one of the Kodak printers, my canvas prints with no special tricks. Sheer Heaven One sheet (optional) Scrap Matboard We will need 2" square pieces Gallery Wrap Canvas This refers to the kind of canvas that shows no staples on the sides so it can be hung without a frame. 9"x12" best, 8"x10" size is good. You can go buy other sizes once you learn the project. Straight Sticks or Dowel Sticks will look more rustic and dowel more finished - your choice. Look for sticks in your garden that are relatively straight with no branches sticking out. A mature Lilac or Butterfly Bush is a good source. Size: 6-7 inches (2 pieces) Leather Lace Or ribbon or decorative fibers. Access to a Laminator These are inexpensive enough that you may own your own, but any quick copy shop will be able to laminate for you. Sticky Stuff Double Stick Tape Crafters Pick Ultimate Glue (great glue for everything - at craft stores) Acrylic Soft Gel Medium (any brand - I like Golden best)
