Purchasing Downloads
Many website Shopping Carts are now able to deliver a Downloadable product when you checkout. This is a great thing for instant gratification - and for wanting an image immediately - to work with in the middle of the night maybe!

How Downloads Work
Usually, you are given a link to click which takes you to a download page - where you then click the item to download it. Then presto, a little time goes by (or a little more time if you are still on a dial-up connection) and the image or magazine is yours - on your desktop. Your computer will usually want to know where to put the file - i.e. which folder. Remember where you put it. This is important so you can find it later to use it!

Sometimes, the link automatically starts the Download. This can be confusing unless your computer has a window that shows you the download process as it is happening. If not, you must look on your desktop for the downloaded file. Macintosh computers have a Download window which shows you the size and progress of the download and when it is finished. If your PC has such a utility, find it and use it.

Browser Preferences
All software has Preferences that you can set to your liking, including Browser software (like Internet Explorer, Safari, etc.) You can choose how your Browser should handle downloads - saving them directly to a folder on your computer, or opening them first in the browser window and letting you save them to disk manually. Choose which works best for you.

Organizing Downloaded Files
We assume that everyone knows how their own folders and files work on their computer, and everyone’s method of organization is different. It is a good idea to keep downloaded files in appropriately labeled folders right from the start - and back them up onto a CD as well.

When you keep related PDF files (like e-magazines for example) in one folder, Adobe Reader allows you to search that folder by keyword. This is a great way to find any article or information you want to go back to in your magazines. Lots easier than searching through print magazines!

Ready to Try It?

If your browser is set to open a download before saving, you already saw what you downloaded. It’s a one page PDF document with three very beautiful flower photos at the top.

If your download went directly to your desktop, look for a file named flowersquares.pdf

These flower photos are taken from our brand new “Tiny-T’s” downloadable image sheets. Each sheet contains 12 of our Art Safe photo images - sized just right for smaller projects like ATCs, tags, collage, jewelry, envelopes, artistamps, etc. More about that in a bit. Right now, let’s make good use of this download.

Open it and Print it on a sheet of Sheer Heaven. Don’t faint at the wasted space - we will use every bit of this precious sheet. Print in Mirror Image (Reverse). This is usually a choice in your Printer window.

Use of these images subject to the
Art Safe Licensing Agreement.
