What is a Virtual Rubber Stamp?
A Virtual Rubber Stamp is an image sold for the purpose of making art - just like a traditional rubber stamp.

But, most stamp manufacturers do not allow scanning of their images - even for the sake of resizing them to suit a project - so traditional rubber stamps are useless for digital artwork. Even if scanning were allowed, you would be in for hours of clean-up to make a scanned, stamped image nice and neat again.

Virtual Rubber Stamps are already high resolution, clean, computer TIFF files - ready to use in any project you want to do. They can be printed on any paper, at any size, and then be painted or colored traditionally. Or, they can be used in PhotoShop to make paper art projects that knock your socks off (and everybody else’s).

Although there are some things you cannot do with a Virtual Rubber Stamp (like pressing it into clay, for example), there are many more things you can do, that could never be done with traditional rubber. You can incorporate subtle shading into the stamp image which enriches the design when painted, You can resize and edit the image to your heart’s content before you commit it to paper. You can blend and combine the images in ways that could never happen in the real world. And then you can make multiple prints of your final art - without having to create it all over again.

How are Virtual Rubber Stamps different from Clip Art? They are vastly different in their quality, their resolution, and in the fact that they are created specifically for the paper and multi-media artists and the type of projects that interest them. They are contemporary, original images, not public domain, recycled vintage stuff. And, finally, the Licensed Rights allow you to do just about anything with them to produce your own art pieces.

New “looks” for images . . .
The fact that Virtual Rubber Stamps are digital allows for effects that would be impossible to reproduce in rubber - but that provide wonderful possibilities for your creative projects.
Many images in our collection will already have some special effects:

The “Transfer” stamps already look like the transfers you work so hard to make, and they can be printed on anything that will go through your printer (including fabric).

The “Mist” stamps are already shaded. They look great as is, or with a transparent wash laid over them.

“Little Thinker” - Transfer Stamp
“Blossom” - Mist Stamp
How will Virtual Stamps be sold?
You will be able to purchase them through the Cre8it Shopping Cart just like our real world unmounted stamp line - and we will burn your selections to a CD to ship them to you.

OR . . . and this is the great part, you will be able to purchase the images for immediate download - 24/7! We are in the process of convincing our Shopping Cart to offer up Virtual Stamp images on demand - anytime you want them - even after midnight!

When will Virtual Stamps be available?
The web pages are being designed as we speak, and the Shopping Cart is being put through its paces. Our first image collections will be available as soon as that job is done and we will announce the unveiling in a Whatever newsletter.

But meanwhile, you can get some right now . . .
Remember that PhotoShop CD we mentioned? It has several Virtual Stamp images included on it - along with great projects that put them to use. And it is available right now . . .
