Several companies have been offering fabric for inkjet printers for several years and the products are getting better all the time. But, if you read the packaging, they can only tell you to print your own photos or artwork on it. Why? Because, until now there is nothing that doesn’t create a copyright problem if you scan and reproduce it by printing. We needed some Digital Fabric designs!

So, we created some - in two types of file formats:

Flat Fabrics are large (8.5x11), 300ppi, TIFF files that are ready to print as they are, but you can change the colors and design element size to suit your project. You learn all the ways to do that on the Working With Digital Fabrics CD. All our designs come in a Flat Fabric format, but many of them come in a second choice of format as well - depending on the design.

Layered Fabrics are the same resolution and size as Flat Fabrics, but they are PhotoShop Documents (PSD) with the background and design elements on their own “live” Layers.

This means that you can make changes to each Layer without affecting the rest. Again, the how-to is on the CD. This gives you many more variations from a single Fabric file.

If a Layered version is available for a fabric, you can choose it in the Shopping Cart.

		“Color Swirls” is one of the Digital Fabrics included on the CD.

How do you purchase Digital Fabrics? The same way as Virtual Stamps. You put them in the Shopping Cart, and we put them on a custom CD just for you. Digital Fabrics and Virtual Stamps can be combined on the same CD. Digital Fabrics are not Downloadable, at least for now, because of file size, and the hatchet job that internet travel does on high resolution images. But we are working on solving that. Flat Fabrics sell for $3.50 each and Layered Fabrics for $5.00 because those are harder for us to make.

			Silk Dyed Sheer Heaven makes a wonderful design for fabric or paper, as do some of the paste paper designs we create and scan. Paste Paper fabric? Sure - why not?
We know you already thought of this, but we’re going to mention it anyway. Digital Fabrics make great decorative papers. All you have to do is print on paper instead of fabric. Since we have such cool papers around here for inkjet, we have played with them all and the results are beautiful. Prints on Sheer Heaven will be lighter and more “ethereal”, and prints on our water resistant matte papers are rich and intense. You can even make small wrapping paper or paper for origami projects with the lightweight 27lb Cre8it Matte and Digital Fabric files. And Digital Fabrics printed on White Magic waterproof inkjet vinyl are to die for - you have an indestructible,waterproof print with almost as much pliability as fabric.
