| Do you ever wish you had a Magic Wand? You could just wave it at some chore and it would be done. Of course, the philosophers say that the journey is what counts - and I suppose I’d be missing out on a lot of life’s experiences doing things that way. . . but still . . . | |||||||
| This Magic Wand is a Virtual Rubber Stamp image - downloadable even! | |||||||

Perhaps there has been a busier Spring in my past, but I surely don’t remember one. When the first PhotoShop CD, Virtual Stamping 101was released in March, I thought it would be well received. But I never dreamed how well received. Just a short time ago, when we would talk about things digital, most paper and mixed-media artists would go into that “glazed over” mode. Too scary, too complicated, etc. But, times have really changed and folks are getting very excited about that “magic wand” inside that box sitting in front of them. And, because computer art has been such a big and special part of my life for so long, I feel Cre8it! moving more and more into this area of interest. But, don’t worry. To me, the computer is only one of my art tools - one of the most exciting for sure - but I still like to get my hands in the “goo” and see what sticks to what, so I will not be abandoning the touchable studio no matter how much time I spend in the virtual one. (The virtual one is a lot cleaner and I don’t trip over piles of things, though, so it is tempting . . .) For the past two years, so many of you have entered the Doors on our website’s home page - passing through those “Portals to Creative Adventure”. But with such an abundance of new products and ideas coming onboard, things had to open up, and the Doors have become “Windows of Creative Opportunity” - a great symbol also of the opening out of creative energies. An entire section has been added for Digital Art Supplies because they are going to be a big part of our lives from now on. And they are magic. This issue seems to be about Magic . . . and Magic Wands. |

| Because we expected a lot of questions as everyone was working their way through the projects on Virtual Stamping 101, we decided to use a Yahoo Group as a support base for that and for our entire line of Digital Art Supplies.
A big surprise is that there haven’t been many questions. People seem to be going along with no problems at all. Of course, we did discover that I don’t always number the Steps in the projects correctly, but even that didn’t seem to derail anyone on their PhotoShop adventure. If you would like to be part of a Group that is sharing the learning experience and also have a place to get your questions answered (if you have any), here is a link to join the PixelPushers Yahoo Group. See you there! |

| As you can imagine, we are always pleased and often surprised by the fun things our readers create with Sheer Heaven. So, when this pinwheel showed up, we thought we would share it with you too.
The pinwheel is a universal symbol of Spring and Summer because it looks like a flower, and makes such good use of brisk Spring breezes. It also looks something like a Magic Wand, wouldn’t you say? We always have to smile when we see one, so we hope this one brings a smile to you as well. Here is what Jenny, its creator had to say: I made this pinwheel out of Sheer Heaven - it is so easy to fold and bend and it won’t tear. The stamp is by Outlines. With some forethought, I could make one that actually spins - this one is just for decoration. Jenny Perruzi SW Harbor, Maine |
