I just recently have discovered that I love using jigsaw puzzles (either whole ones or sections) to create an assemblage.

For this piece, I used a road covered in snow to symbolize movement into spring. There's a quote on tin foil that you can't see so well in the scan. It says, “Push yourself to see the extraordinary in the ordinary.”

For me, winter, though it is a time of death for many elements of nature, is a time when I see the most extraordinary things bursting with life...if I take the time to really look.
